Allen Neuharth

Allen Neuharth was born on March 22, 1924 in South Dakota. At a young age he served in the Army in World War II, he was deployed to places such as: France, Germany, and the Philippines. While receiving his education at the University of South Dakota he took part in editing the school newspaper. He is best known for funding the most widely read newpapper in the U.S known as USA Today. He also accomplished to help build Gannett, which became the largest newspaper company in the U.S.
